Regular consultation occurs between our learning support teacher and the class teachers, to identify children who may need extra support. If the class teacher feels it is appropriate, the child may be tested to determine their strengths/weaknesses. Sometimes further diagnostics may be administered. The parents/guardians will be given a progress report and the child may be offered the chance of learning support, and in some cases a child may be referred (with parental consent) for a more comprehensive test with an educational psychologist.
